4 Great Bar and Pubs in Wolverhampton To Drink at Right Now!

The 12th of April has come and gone, and it is once again legal to engage in the age-old British pastime of going for a pint. But where to go? Now that restrictions have been lifted, the world (or perhaps just the West Midlands) is your oyster, and, although you may have come to enjoy nights-in in your comfortable studio flat to rent, all your favourite Wolverhampton pubs and bars are ready and raring for you to make your long-awaited return. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to support those excellent local and independent businesses, so they can keep providing us with the amazing times we’ve had there! So, what are you waiting for? It doesn’t matter if it’s 11am on a Tuesday morning and you should be in a Zoom meeting – get out there!

The Bohemian

The Bohemian is a relatively new bar located on Lichfield Street, and has been providing a top-notch selection of inventive, themed drinks, and whimsically named food since 2016. Vibrant, fun, and with the kind of punchy, buzzing atmosphere that we’ve all missed the most these past few months, The Bohemian is a guaranteed great night out. Whilst it may not be open yet, it has been announced that they will return on Thursday 20th May, so get ready!

The Hogshead

Right in the heart of Wolverhampton, on Stafford Street, lies the Hogshead, a favourite of locals with a trendy and spacious beer garden – perfect for right now. The Hogshead is known for offering the best selection of IPA, lager, cask ale, craft beer, and cider around, with something for anyone and everyone. Providing a great selection of snacks and meals too, The Hogshead is the perfect place to break your lockdown fast. Or thirst!

The Great Western

Situated right by the train station is The Great Western, cosy and fascinating for all who visit. A Grade II listed wonder, filled to the brim with Wolverhampton Wanderers memorabilia and railway-themed décor, this hidden gem is a museum in itself – add booze, and it’s sure to be an unforgettable experience! A paradise for trainspotters, football fanatics, or anyone who enjoys a drink, this mesmerising marvel of a pub is not one to miss.
