The Process

We’re always happy to hear that new residents are considering joining us here at TheStudios and if you’re looking to live in our luxury community, we’re ready to talk you through the straightforward process of reserving your studio.

The Process - Start to Finish

1. Let Us Know

As soon as you know you’d like to move in, contact our lettings team via our online contact form, by calling us on 01902 290 969 or by dropping us an email at lettings@thestudios.com.

We’ll then arrange a viewing so you can see the studio apartments we have available to let and the on-site facilities we provide here, including our bar, gym and cinema. Our address is TheStudios, 24 Birch Street, Wolverhampton, WV1 4JA. If you cannot attend a viewing, not to worry. We are happy to offer virtual viewings and can also send videos of the available studios, should this suit you better.

2. Studio Viewing and Building Tour

One of our friendly team members will greet you on the day of your tour, welcome you into TheStudios building and will first show you our communal and social areas, including:

  • Reception
  • The bar, lounge and terrace
  • Our luxury cinema room
  • Our state-of-the-art gym
  • The laundry room

Then it’s time to head upstairs (don’t worry, we have lifts!) and view our available studios to rent, along with the shared kitchen facilities.

During your studio viewing, you will also see the ensuite rooms that set our apartments apart. Our virtual viewings are carried out much in the same manner.

3. Reserve Your Studio

Should you wish to reserve a studio with us, the first thing we need to do is take a £50 holding fee. This holding fee will reserve your studio for a maximum of two weeks from the date the studio becomes available.

This £50 holding fee will then become part of your £500 deposit, subject to affordability checks, which we’ll go through shortly. Should your application be declined, you will be refunded the £50 holding fee. However, if you pull out of the application, the holding fee will not be refunded.

4. Affordability Check

Once the £50 holding fee has been paid to reserve your studio, we will send you an application form to complete, and we will request for you to send the following documents:

  • Two forms of photo ID of yourself
  • Details and photo ID for your guarantor (if applicable)
  • Your most recent three months’ pay slips and bank statements
  • Your current employment contract
  • Your right to rent share code (if applicable)

Once the above documents have been received, and the application form has been filled out, your application will be sent over to our accounts department to conduct the affordability check.

5. Next Steps

If you are accepted as a resident, your guarantor will then be sent their form to sign (if applicable), and we will send you the relevant documents including your tenancy agreement to read. At this point, we’ll also agree upon a move-in date and time with you.

If you are declined as a resident, we will request your bank details to refund the holding fee.

6. Move In

On your agreed move-in date, we will then require the total amount due (including the additional £450 to make your total deposit £500), and you’ll be welcomed to the building, handed your key card and shown to your new studio apartment. To find out more about your first day with us, please visit our detailed Moving In page.
