In typical UK fashion, spring is almost here and yet snow is falling all around! In this cold and gloomy weather, we all might need a bit of cheering up, and what better to lift the spirits than a day out shopping! Around the West Midlands, there are loads of great shopping spots, from indoor malls to outdoor shopping villages, so whatever you’re in the mood for, you can easily get it before the day is out! So, whether you’re in desperate need of some retail therapy, need to buy a gift for a loved one, or just want a good consumerism-fuelled day out, here are the best shopping spots near Wolverhampton, going from the closest to TheStudios to the furthest away!
Mander Centre

The Mander Centre, as you all probably know, is right inside Wolverhampton city centre, and is only a 10-minute bus-ride or walk away from your home at TheStudios, making it an incredibly convenient and easy shopping destination – you can be there and back within the hour! With loads of shops including Flannels, H&M, JD Sports, New Look, and Superdrug, if you need something quickly, there really isn’t a whole lot you can’t get here!
McArthurGlen Designer Outlet

If you’re looking to travel a bit outside the city for an afternoon or full day of luxury outlet shopping, then this one’s for you! Just a 30-minute drive away from TheStudios, this designer outlet offers Kate Spade, Lacoste, Nike, Ted Baker, Kurt Geiger, and Coach, to name but a few, all at discounted prices! So, if you’re willing to travel a bit longer to get your hands on some great items for much less, then this is the place for you!
Merry Hill

Also only a 30-minute drive away from TheStudios in Dudley, Merry Hill Shopping Centre is one of the main shopping hotspots of the West Midlands. With all the high-street brands we know and love, some classic restaurants and cafes, and even an Odeon Cinema, Merry Hill has almost everything you could need, and only a quick hop, skip, and a jump away from your front door!
Bullring and Grand Central

Birmingham’s nationally-famous Bullring and Grand Central shopping centre surely needs no introduction. Since a market opened on the site back in the Middle Ages, The Bullring has been a major UK shopping destination, and now offering pretty much every high-street shop you can think of, as well as a huge range of restaurants and cafes, whatever you want to buy, eat, or drink, you can always rely on the Bullring to provide. And, with Birmingham only 40 minutes away from Wolverhampton on the metro, and just 25 minutes away by train, you can easily be there and back in a day!
Bicester Village

Now this one is quite a bit further away, but it’s definitely worth the journey! Around a 1 hour and 35 minute-drive away from TheStudios, Bicester Village is the ultimate in luxury outlet shopping. With all the designer brands you can imagine, like Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Vivienne Westwood, as well as loads of great restaurants, this is the perfect place to grab that luxury item you’ve wanted for ages, without the luxury price tag! And while it’s not the closest shopping destination, set out like a village with beautiful painted houses and tree-lined streets, Bicester Village serves not only as a shopping centre, but a wonderful day-out!
