Goodness, is it that time of year again already? With Halloween in the rearview mirror and the last of the bonfire embers safely extinguished, our attention can turn to only one thing… the grand opening of our new apartments! Oh… and Christmas 2024! It’s going to be a bright and busy season here at 24 Birch Street, so here are just some of the festivities to jot in your diary for the coming few weeks as we celebrate the holidays and see out 2024 in style.
Kickstart the Festive Spirit on the Big Screen
If you’re anything like us, sometimes the festive spirit can take a bit of getting into, especially as it seems to start earlier and earlier every year. Well, what better way to get yourself in the mood than enjoying your favourite Christmas movies up on the big screen. With so many timeless classics to choose from, you’ll be spoiled for choice, so what will it be?
Do you love the animated joy of The Nightmare Before Christmas? The classic Hollywood feelgood magic of It’s A Wonderful Life? The cosy childhood feels of A Muppet Christmas Carol? Or is it the high-rise adrenaline of John McClane’s bad day in Die Hard? (Don’t get any ideas – our lift shafts are strictly off limits!)
Whichever is your favourite, there’s no better way to enjoy it than in our luxury cinema room with fellow residents or up to six of your friends and family from off-site.
The Bar’s the Place to Be
It wouldn’t be Christmas at TheStudios without some cheeky festive extras at the bar. So, from Sunday, 1st December, mulled wine and mince pies will be available to warm you up at the end of these cold dark days.
On Saturday, 14th December, we’ll be hosting the Pool League Presentation night, where trophies will be awarded to the winning teams that have been part of the league throughout 2024. We’re delighted and excited to welcome our Pool League friends back to TheStudios for the celebratory evening and look forward to you joining us for the fun, whether you played in the league or not. We won the ‘Wooden Spoon’ award for coming bottom of the league last year so come along and see how we fared this year!
Then on Tuesday, 31st December, we’ll be saying cheerio to 2024 and hello to 2025 with our annual New Year’s Eve event. Entry to the evening is ticket only but non-resident guests are more than welcome, just speak to our office staff to reserve your tickets and we look forward to welcoming in the new year with you and your guests.
All this, on top of our usual bar deals and building decorations, which will be going up very soon!
A Time to Rest and Reflect
Aside from all the celebrations coming up over the festive period, we’ll also be making sure we all have a good rest and take time out to reflect on another busy year here at TheStudios. The bar will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day but our well-equipped communal kitchens are more than capable of coping with the Christmas food rush – especially the all-important Christmas Day dinner!
Also, our hardworking housekeeping team will be off from Monday, 23rd to Sunday, 29th December – if you need a change of linens during this time please just speak to the office.
